In 2024 and 2025, I sang with the Schola Cantorum Lorain, a small ensemble dedicated to the performance of early music. On Sundays at 9:00 PM, from October to April, the Schola Cantorum sang the Office of Compline at First Lutheran Church in Lorain, Ohio.
As a volunteer at the MetroHealth System in the Greater Cleveland Area, I telephoned patients in an effort to curb their social isolation, delivered pantry staples to food-vulnerable patients, and distributed comfort items to patients admitted to the emergency department. I also volunteered at Covid-19 vaccination clinics in Parma.
In 2023, I volunteered at the Lorain County Free Clinic, and look forward to further serving this organization in the future.
I have trained to be a Stephen Minister—a lay member who offers emotional support to people going through difficult times. During my training, I learned to deal with people in crisis, to help them come to terms with their emotions, and to assist them in planning their social reintegration.
